Guitar Lessons

At BerryJam Music, we offer both online and face to face guitar lessons. These can be customised for all ages so you can go at your own pace. Learn one on one with a professional teacher – learn to read music, guitar techniques, ear training, scales, reading chords, finger picking styles, strumming patterns in any style: Rock, Pop, Folk, Blues, Funk or Jazz, play your favourite songs.

We offer regular performance opportunities for you to showcase your skills twice per year – at Berry jam live for students to collaborate and write music together or simply to play what you have been learning. Whether your goal is to play for fun or to be the greatest, we offer casual classes and early bird options, get in touch with us to chat about an option that works for

We teach singing for kids as young as 5years old and beyond. Learn one on one with a professional teacher or sing in a group. When starting out its best to try a group class and if looking to get tailor made instruction it is best to take private lessons. Study World renowned Seth Riggs vocal method – breathing, vocal warm ups, sight singing, vocal techniques, ear training, scales. Sing in any style: Musical Theatre, Rock, Pop, Folk, Blues, Jazz sing your favourite songs.

We offer one on one beginner to intermediate level contemporary Piano lessons for kids aged 6 years and up, online or face to face. Our lessons are tailored to suit the individuals needs, we set realistic goals based on the students needs and desired outcome. Playing an instrument is much more than merely learning the notes and their sequences. Learning to play the piano requires engagement of all senses, with full coordination between body, mind and soul.

BerryJam Music is designed to inspire and ignite creativity and love of music, along with technical skills, to create expressive meaningful performances. We offer a contemporary syllabus for theory, playing and sight reading – Bastien Books series or accompaniment, all tailored to the students level of skill and needs.

For experienced singers kids aged 10 – 16 years. Polish your vocal technique, intervals and ear training, harmonise with your friends. Improve self confidence on stage, stage presence, mic technique, learn basic choreographed moves, have fun singing with your friends. Have the chance to perform with your ensemble at BerryJam Live twice in the year.

The Basics of Songwriting – for kids ages 12 – 16 years.

Explore and create beautiful melodies with your voice, chord structures on your guitar or piano to accompany yourself. The basics and beyond of song structure and lyric writing, rhyme schemes, phrasing and more. We offer a performance opportunity at the end of the week to perform for parents and friends for you to showcase your skills and for students to collaborate and write music together.

Vocal Workshops – for kids aged 8-12 years.

Breathing is the foundation of singing, learn to breathe and warm up correctly, vocal technique, intervals and harmonise with your friends. Develop self confidence on stage, stage presence, mic technique, learn basic choreographed moves, have fun singing with your friends. We offer a performance opportunity at the end of the week for you to showcase your skills and for students to collaborate and perform together for parents and friends.

Fees –School Students:
Lessons for school students are paid by the term – usually a 10 week block.

Example: 10 x 1hr = $930.00 inc. GST (Early bird rate – 10% discount, paid at beginning of term)

Example: 10 x 30min =$500.00 inc GST (Early bird rate – 10% discount, paid at beginning of term)

Casual hourly rate = $100/hr

Longer or shorter terms are calculated as: individual lesson price $50.00 inc. GST x amount of term weeks.
