Do you want to explore and develop your Musical Talent?

Speak Up is a singer/songwriter competition for high school students aged 12 to 18 years.

This competition allows students to submit their performance entries online, from all across Australia.

Entries will be presented to an online panel of music industry professionals. Entrants have the option to submit their videos as a soloist, duo, small group or band. In the final round 10 Finalists will be chosen where they will compete in a live final for studio time, music equipment, multiple prizes and industry engagement opportunities including:

Live Finals will be held at Big Music, Crows Nest on Saturday the 4th of June 2022!

Interstate Finalists will be AIRED LIVE on the day!

Mental Health is a major issue facing young people, with anxiety and depression increasing and social isolation on the rise. Speak up shines a light on this issue by providing a platform for young people to express themselves through original music and supports them in fostering and nurturing a career in the music industry.

Our aim is to provide underprivileged, talented youth across Australia a chance, regardless of ethnicity or culture. Due to its online nature the competition allows kids from remote, regional areas the exposure and recognition to audiences and music industry mentors they could not get anywhere else.
